Our team has unparalleled clinical experience. They are talented, passionate and dedicated to helping you regain an active lifestyle. Each one of our expert physical therapists is licensed in the state of New York by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy. Matt graduated from Boston University in 1984 with a degree in Physical Therapy and has been in the orthopedic field supporting in/outpatient physical therapy ever since.

Matt has extensive training and experience in manual therapy. Highlights of his specialties include: spinal rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation including running & golf injuries, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome include injury to the teeth or jaw and post-surgical rehabilitation. Matt co-founded Southern Tier Physical Therapy Associates (STPTA) in 1986 with Todd Mansfield.

Subsequently he practiced physical therapy for four years in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital. Matt returned in 1991 as co-owner and leader of Southern Tier Physical Therapy (STPT) of Binghamton.

This means you have the right to seek out physical therapy (PT) treatment that best suits your needs.
Your healthcare provider may justifiably make a recommendation based on their experience and personal knowledge.
However, according New York State legislation, he or she cannot dictate where you receive your PT Services.
You are more than just a number!
Your initial evaluation with our therapist typically takes one hour.
In subsequent appointments, you have a minimum 30-minute hands-on session with expert(s) from our Physical Therapy Team.
