About
Report
Since opening for business in 1988, George Erb Physical Therapy has been a leading independent orthopedic rehabilitation center dedicated to optimal, cost-effective outcomes.
We accomplish this with expert care delivered in a state-of-the-art treatment facility, but importantly, we partner with the patient to resolve their particular condition through education, home care interventions, and understanding their occupational goals and/or requirements.
We are honored to have referral support of physicians and surgeons throughout Ventura County, and are proud of the consistent patient-to-patient recommendations that we receive each day.

George was raised in Camarillo after his family relocated from Los Angeles when he was five years old.
He attended Camarillo High School and Oxnard College before a baseball scholarship took him to Cal State Northridge.
After his final season as a Matador, he was accepted to PT School at CSUN, graduating in 1985.
George opened his physical therapy practice in 1988, and through the years his office has become a leading orthopedic physical therapy treatment center.
George and his staff are deeply committed to providing the best care possible for each patient, no matter their condition, in a friendly, family-like atmosphere.

Matt Stump, PT
Report
Matt's family moved to Camarillo in 1979 when he was just a young boy.
Interestingly, he was born in Iceland while his father served our country in the United States Navy.
He grew up attending local schools, and graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School (ACHS) in 1993.
It was during his time at ACHS he first became interested in a career in physical therapy (PT).
Midway through his senior year he sustained a significant ankle injury which required PT.
Matt realized his calling during that time.

Jennifer is a Camarillo native who after graduating from Adolfo Camarillo High School ('95) received her BS in Kinesiology from CSU Fresno.
As a Kinesiology major and member of the women's tennis team, her interest in sport, fitness, and injury led her to pursue her Masters in Physical Therapy from CSU Northridge ('04).
Upon graduating from CSU Fresno she began working as an aide for George to gain experience in the field, and to help her decide between following in her mother's footsteps as a teacher, or pursuing a career in physical therapy.

Physical Therapy
Report
Modern physical therapy has its roots in the rehabilitation of injured WWII veterans.
It has evolved through the years to encompass a fascinatingly wide range of patients that require some form of skilled assistance in returning to either their prior level of function, or a modified level of function.
Physical therapists can be found in a variety of settings, from schools working with developmental problems in children, to inpatient rehab hospitals working with spinal cord injuries, to outpatient settings like GEPT.
